What a fab weekend for shopping.

Sony PC8 Camcorder, second hand for £170!! (Originally £899).
Firewire cable and blank DVDs
Creative Audigy LS soundcard
512mb ram (brings me up to a gig now, woot).

I can now make moooovies. Tested this out last night, totally awesome and even managed to make a DVD that works properly on my DVD player. Spiff, expect home made DVDs your way soon.

ive been making dvd's for a little while now. For Mobstar promo stuff, video's of concerts i film, stuff like that. Its great fun.

What software are you using for the menus and authoring?

At the moment nothing fancy, Windows Movie Maker and something like Win DVD. Should have a hooky copy of Pinnacle 9 coming this week.

I use Sony Vegas 4 and Premiere. I want to snag a copy of Avid at some stage because it rules.

Ive been using Tmpenc DVD Author to do all my menus and stuff...its pretty nifty. Regular Tmpenc for encoding to dvd files from avi.

Hopefully gonna work towards getting a new video camera soon. Mmmmm 3CCD...
