Have a very METAL Xmas!

King Diamond - No Presents for Christmas
TSO-Anything but especially Wizard in Winter
Twisted Sister's new Xmas cd

I remember a song from the late 80's/early 90's called "Cashing in on Christmas." I only heard it a few times and I never heard it again. I think ZROCK used to play it. I never found out who it was. Anybody else remember it?

Gotta promote the Stride X-mas album...total class.

Also, Jordan Rudess did an X-mas album through his website 2 years ago...beautiful piano renditions of X-mas classics. Don't know if it's still available, though.

Gotta give props to Twisted Sister...yeah it's cheesy...but it's ballsy X-mas music that's fun and with the proper amount of New York attitude...plus the Heavy Metal 12 Days of Christmas is a total classic.

Glad to hear that Gary Hoey still gets some recognition...

Rock on!

It's not metal, but Christmas wouldn't be quite the same without listening to 'Fairytale of New York' by The Pogues. Beyond that, some Trans-Siberian Orchestra makes for suitable listening during the holidays.

There are a couple Christmas compilations out there called "Merry Axemas" (Volumes 1 & 2) that feature guitarists like Steve Vai and Satch, but there are also Kenny Wayne Shepard and Eric Johnson, so it's not entirely metal, but still good nonetheless... oh, and of course they are entirely instrumental versions of the songs.

I also looked on Amazon and found that there is a CD called "A Brutal Christmas" which are performed by Christian Metal bands apparently (I am not familiar with a single one, though - i.e. no Bloodgood, Stryper, Barren Cross, Messiah Prophet, Rez Band, Petra, etc.)

Oh, and another one I just spotted is called "Metal Christmas" and it looks to have four tracks sung by Paul Di'Anno! That would be interesting to check out... <Todd contemplates an Amazon.com purchase>

Mid 80's Christian thrashers Deliverance did a killer Silent Night. Oh, and even though it has a high cheese factor, Twisted Sister's Christmas CD is pretty cool.

Creeping Death By Metallica
What about the Hannakuh Song by Adam Sandler... Christmas Hannakuh...

And my all timeFAVORITE!!!

burger king dude - bkdude - i work at burger king :worship: :worship: :headbang:

I believe that Creeping Death would be a Passover song, not a Hannakuh song. I'm not Jewish so I could be wrong. I think they're two different things. :)

Anyway, Ashaman is right about the Stride album. It's really good. Jordan Rudess gets a little carried away at times, but that album is good as well.
