I listen to alot of Rush and Les Claypool and here and there i'll listen to stanley clark. This guy's name is Bill Dickens for those unaware. If you'v got a tune that has faster bass playing than this, hook me up please.

If you dont automatically down load it, then click under his picture and listen to that Super Skilled 15 fingered Bad Mo Fo.

I learned alot from this one piece, and if anyone has something faster, i need it.

nah, i agree. although most Solo-bass sounds fucken rad it gets very tiresome, very quick. its just too frustrating listening to something i'll never be able to do

Personally I think the bass is a rediculously overrated thing now-a-days. but i can appreciate talant... whole crap that was good soloing. I think it runs about a minute too long though. if this person was in my band i'd have him play like that all the time... underneath the guitars of course. oh the songwriting possibilities...

I doubt it'd be as good as you think, coz most bassists that can play like that are primarily intrested in funk or jazz so you'll be hard pressed to get a pure metal song outta em.

I'm fairly competent on bass. That's fuckin fast slap. Even so, it sounds annoying. If you want some unbelievable bass shit, you might check out Jeff Bradevitch. That's doublebass btw, but you might appreciate it.
