Singer-songwriter Meghan Kabir has released her cover version of MÖTLEY CRÜE's "Live Wire". Kabir's rendition of the track is heard in CRÜE's biopic "The Dirt" during a scene where Nikki Sixx is shooting heroin. Kabir, credited as Shahnaz (her middle name), sang backup on "This Is Gonna Hurt", the second album from Nikki's SIXX:A.M. project. She's also collaborated on material for Kelly Clarkson, Cassadee Pope and Selena Gomez. Says Meghan: ""Getting the opp to honor the rich legacy of Motley Crue & @nikkisixxpixx songwriting genius with 'Live Wire' while allowing me to create my own haunting take on the song and color the dramatic scene it takes place in, was truly so special. I think I'm most excited to represent women in this film as not just the performer on 'Live Wire' but as the sole musician and producer on this track. It's a pretty rare thing and does my heart a lot of good!" "The Dirt" movie, which was helmed by "Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa" director Jeff Tremaine, was released on March 22 via Netflix.
