Heatwave!!

It's been hot hear in SF but we get alot of cool wind so I can still wear my leather jacket in 80 degree weather. It was llike that this past Sunday but I went & took a BART train out to the east bay to meet a friend & GEEZ what a difference! It was like over 100 degrees out there & no breeze!I heard Arizona is having it even worse!I heard its like 115 degrees in the shade! That's HOT!

It's been between 103-115 where I live for the past 10 days or so o_O. The nice thing about that is that our pool is heated up to about 90 degrees from the Sun, which is amazingly refreshing in that kind of heat! :zombie: I pray for no rolling black outs! :kickass:

Actually thta's the other half of the story! When I went to Concord our "Reality Chick" Yvonne(remember her Linda?) picked me up & we went to San Jose to interview this exceptionally gifted singer guitarist named Amy Schugar http://www.amyschugar.com she did an album with Michael Schenker.
Anyways durring the interview at her studio, there was a black out!So we did the rest of it with the camera light on in the dark!Bizarre!

I thought it was a dry heat that doesn't bother you LOL... I was in southern CA in 1983 and got the worst burn of my life at Glen Helen Park.

It's been 80-85 here but extremely humid, it doesn't sound hot but I'll tell you it's brutal if you work outside. I was just standing there and I was sweating. The A/C in my bedroom takes a gallon of water out of the air in one hour.

I reeeeally dont like the heat, when its like 90+, you cant do anything outside at all (except maybe go swimming) because its so hot....you have to stay inside alll day doing nothing :erk: Im so glad the heat wave up here in Western WA is over now. its a sunny 78 right now:D

Woodland Hills, Agoura, Thousand Oaks... hit 119 this past weekend... UGH!!! On top of the numbers, the humidity has been in the 50 to 60 percentile, making the heat feel even worse. I miss the old days of hot, but dry... Making home improvements has been fun...:erk:

Ooh, yes Jackie, the humidity has been :puke: !! To top it off, today there were a couple fires near enough that the sky was just a big grey smoke cloud and ashes were falling all around. What a combo! :yuk:

Aah..the fires in Southern California. All I could think when I visited was how do people live in the hills such as Topanga Canyon etc. It is so dry that I would always be scared of the fire potential.

The world is Burning! We're in HELL! The funny thing is in cold weather us west coast people don't know what cold is!40 degrees to us is FREEZING bundle up,crank the heater. To east coast people that's shorts & tank tops weather! We don't get any snow or know what 0 degree or 15 below deep freeze weather is!I've never expereinced it so I'm sure I'd be a complete wuss in anything below 30 degrees!
