I have seen discussions on this but never a poll so here we go...

My pick is Blackwaterpark, because bar that bit a quarter of the way through where it goes mellow for a bit, it is constantly getting heavier with one amazing riff after another. It also builds to an amazing climax, not to mention it is played in drop D thus giving it a slightly heavier sound anyway.....

Ok guys I listened to your complaints and have made an ammended list, please bear in mind though you can only have so many choices...

Cheers:)

No shit but every Opeth song has at least one mellower part, we are talking overall heaviness..
Obviously you're never heard Wreath, unless you count the one faint clean line in a distorted heavy riff "mellow".

well, i was going to vote for an overall heavy song...but instead, i went with master's apprentices, since it contains the heaviest riff ever written (the fourth riff)
