The Dallas-Forth Word-Arlington metro area also produced Rigor Mortis, Gammacide, Solitude Aeturnus, and is now home to King Diamond. They still have the edge over Norway on the basis of those bands alone (and I don't even like Rigor Mortis or Gammacide that much).
