I read a thread about Sepultura's new album. That's how I got started here.
How I got into Metal:
It's all Paula's fault!!!
She introduced me to Guns 'n' Roses and Whitesnake and I liked. So afterwards I ws listening to the Radio One Rock show. This was years ago. I tell you, it was well worth staying up from 1 till 3 am on a school night just so I could record that stuff.
I surely must of looked like that smiley the next day.
I started getting MetalHammer magazine when they Had Ville Valo on the front. I used to be into HIM then.
My boyfriend has a grudge against HIM for turning 'Don't fear the reaper' into a funeral march song and he also thinks they are a bland band and since I have listened to other music I can see what he means.
Anyway, my boyfriend also likes metal and it's cheers to him that my favourite bands are Pantera, Megadeth and L7.
My favourite Old School bands are Girlschool, Angelwitch, Motorhead and Iron Maiden and a bit of Magnum.
I remember someone on this forum saying how they would pretend to like a band to impress a girl. Me and my guy don't always agree on music. I like Nirvana, he dosn't. He likes Robbie Williams, I don't. We have strong opposing opinions on music but we don't fall out about it.
I havn't heard all of the Sepultura album but I think that 'Bullet the Blue sky' is a bit boring. My boyfriend says the lyrics are really intelligent though. I guess I'll have another listen to it.
