Recall the rig I was building? I went on and upgraded it to an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ running at 2.6 GHz with an x1650 card. If Intel beats this, I don't need Intel, this shit is a goddamned beast. Pictures tomorrow maybe.

Specs:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2.6GHz with 2MB L2 cache
Socket AM2 board with nForce 570
2GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 PC6400 (800mhz) RAM
600w PSU with modular cables
640GB (2 320GB) SATA PMR Hard Drives
20x DVD writer
18x DVD Writer
ATI Radeon x1650
19" Hanns-G HW191D Widescreen monitor
CMI8788+ audio chip (bluegear b-inspirer) HTPC quality card
Logitech Z-5500 THX certified 5.1 505W system
Logitech G15 gaming board
MS Lasermouse 6000
Case: Thermaltake matrix VX with 2 120mm fans, it's a goddamned hurricane in there.

What do YOU have?

Oh, forgot. 2Gb DDR2 PC6400 (800mhz) Corsair. I'll add it.

And PMR is Perpendicular Magnetic Recording.

3800? Single or dual core? My parents have one (single core) and it runs fine for them... maybe more memory?

7800?! Why the hell does it chop?! :(

Seriously, that's a weird one to me. How much memory?

(And what games?)

I'd upgrade the RAM to 2GB, it's insane how much RAM affects this shit. Other than that I'm suprised you're having problems.

little silverstone desktop, little bit bigger than a shuttle.

dual geforce 6800s
1gb corsair xms memory

I have computer envy.

Well you too can have one for the low price of $1300 Necro. This thing cost me 30 hours of my life and that. :( Worth it though.
