My Saturday night = Halloween metal night at Gilman St. with:
Hacksaw to the Throat - standard melodic death with 0 stage presence
Brutallica - not as good as they should've been
Lord Weird Sloughfeg - awesome D&D metal. kicked off with "Bark at the Moon"
Hail Satan - all Mercyful Fate covers. dude totally had the King schtick down, cross of bones mic stand n all
and Iron Vegan - all Maiden covers w/members of Neurosis, Strychnine, and the old drummer from Machine Head.

as of Sunday morning, I've got a slight case of metalneck and a sore throat from singing along to the classics.

well, they opened with "Call of Cthulu" and then went into "Blackend" and "Master of Puppets", but then I realized they weren't nearly as good as I'd hoped and went across the street to drink beer until Hail Satan.

If Metallica only played their most brutal material, that would rule so hard.
