I'm new here in case you hadn't figured that one out. I'm Kyle. I'm 15 and am trying to get into metal. I don't really have any styles that I enjoy because I just havn't listened to enough. I don't have friends that can help me out cause they have no taste in music. So I'm here. Feel free to list recommendations here, but I'll make another thread later.

Welcome to UM, Kyle..poke around in the forums & get some ideas for bands to check out; there are plenty of styles of metal represented throughout the different band forums..have fun!

Individuality is the best remedy. I am 15 and listen to bands like Metallica which is good for guitar solos and Rob Zombie which is mind blowing heavy, but I guess it is a style thing. Try out some bands like mine above and tell me what you think, bands like Metallica have heavy songs and some mellower ones, but avoid the early albums and the latest one which are good, but could be better.
