The 8 beats I'm refering to is just before the vocals come in and the bass is playing along with the guitar.
I have the song playing in my headphones right now. What a great song. Something I just noticed for the first time with my headphones on full.
You can hear the drummer count in the band with 4 hihat hits. Shit after all these years I just herd it for the first time.

I know what you mean there Constantine. I've had NPFTD on original c-cassette since about '96 or '97 and it wasn't until last year that I noticed some cool double-kick drumming on some song, can't remember which it was right now, though... Man, was I gobsmacked!
