Help making a mix sound fuller

Guitars sound a little muffled to me, they need more presence to give more of an impression of air. It wont make the guitars sound bigger as such, but the effect can really make a mix sound more full.
Where have you low passed the guitars?

If you low passed your guitars at 60Hz, I doubt you'd hear much at all dude:lol:

Low pass is the one you set to tame upper frequencies, it's HIGH PASS that you set for the lower frequencies;)

Try hi-passing a lot higher - around 120. I'd also try a small lo-shelf boost on the bass guitar - maybe 2dBs at 100 and roll off at around 35.

You might benefit from a hi-shelf boost on the guitars too - 2dB at 8k...I picked that little tip up from here and tend to use it if the guitars aren't present enough after lo-passing.

Also, I'm hearing a lot of flamming...have you lined all your drums up with the triggers? Or have you got the plugin still on the track?

I think it could sound really good with a little bit of work though mate!

Alright thanks for the advice, yeah the plugins are still loaded, I haven't bothered fixing all the drums because there are a few changes so I'm going to re-record it next week sometime. this was basically a demo to hear the new song we had.
