Help me, where is this melody from? (podfarm + multitrack stems inside)

I was messaging with a friend and he wanted an example how I would record and pan my guitars etc. I made a quick 20 second mix with podfarm using one part from one his song as base for the example, using the same tempo and chord progression, but different rhythms and melodies. But now that I've listened to it a few times, I noticed that the lead melody kinda kicks ass. Err, I mean that atleast I like it :D But it also sounds really familiar, reminds me of Ghostbusters for some reason. Anyone know if I accidentally stole it from something?

I never played Contra, but I did play Probotector, which basically is the same game with different characters. But it's funny how stuff like that stays in your subconsiousness, I mean I haven't played it since the 90's.

But thanks man.

Ahjteam !! Without seeing the 2do post reply, at first sight I would tell you it sounds me to a video game. Didn't know it was similar to Contra.
