Help me with the guitar tone.

Yeah the second is not as harsh up top. I have to say though the whole tone itself is very flat and papery, there's no real depth to it. Playing is good though, what are you using for tone?

Idk, I would honestly try to dial in more gain and see if it fills out the sound a bit. That ENGL cab has great clarity, but it can be quite thin. Kneel down in front of the speakers and hear what's actually coming out of the speakers, dial according to that. I think upping the gain will fix most of your issues. Unless you've got some sort of "Contour" switch engaged.

That raw clip actually doesn't sound that bad. You've got to be careful with EQing that range. I almost always EQ that range of a tube amp recording myself, because both the tube amps and speaker cabinets tend to have resonance there, but you've got to be REAL careful. You can easily go overboard and make the whole thing sound like PodFarm if you go to far, even by .5dB too far

The pic: are you miking the center of the speakers? Do you maybe have some sort of Fredman ish type thing going on there?

In the pic it looks like it is center but it is actually 1-2" off from the center. Only the mic at the right is in use in this song.
Sometimes i double track with both mics.

Looks like your cab is backed against a wall, I would try and position it better than that. Ideally, the cab should be away from walls or corners. Also getting the head off the cab is a good idea as well.
