So give us some info!

Those drums Andys samples?
How did you record the guitars? What was the chain?

Guitars 4 tracks: Soldano head, 4x12 Marschall cab 1960 with G12-75, SM57 direct into DAW.

Drums: 40/60 natural/trigger. Toms SM57, snare top SM57/bottom e604, kick Beta91, overheads MXL991 big AB, hihat/ride AKG C419. Ddrum triggers were used on all skins and seperately recorded.

Info update:
The band recordet a 10 songs album in our studio. Recording and mixing in Cubase SX3 (PC) then mastering over TC Finalizer plus. Monitors were Mackie HR824, NS10 and Behringer Truth B2031A.
Recording, mix and mastering takes us 13 days.

No. That is the way when I go the analogue way (tapemachine). I Just take the Trigger tracks to work with Drumagog (snare)and ApTrigga (toms, kick). It's definitely more precise to work with them instead of the mic tracks.

Yep I think the trigger signal is more "secure"!!
running the mic track into drumagog/aptrigga is a pain in the ass sometimes!!!
Well anyway I just thought about that trick to add more pop to the signal!!
