I was over a friend's sunday night and we went out to see fireworks. Upon our return, one of his dogs let out pained yelps whenever pressure was placed upon its leg. So we got on our friend's ass to call for medical assistance. He insisted that if anyone picked up, they told him treatment could only be provided in life or death situations due to the holiday. Does that sound weird to anyone else?

Personally, I'm leaning towards ass coverage. The same guy had an indoor cat and rather than get it fixed, threw it outside when mating season came. So the dog being properly licensed/vaccinated would come as a real surprise. For anytthing like that to happen, I'll need to hand all his family members packets on local discount/free clinics and call him daily myself.
