Hey dudes, opinion on JSX tone?

Went into my school's studio yesterday and tracked my guitar part for our project, and I was wondering how you guys think this tone would work in a mix. The chain is:

EC400 w/ EMG 81 --> jSX head --> Bogner 2x12 V30s --> SM57 --> Millennia HV-3D --> Control 24 --> 192 i/o

The SM57 was pointing at the edge of the dustcap on the left V30 (the right seemed woofier to me), and although I realize the Millennia is not the best for hi-gain guitar, it was either that or the Control 24's pres . Any input appreciated!

It lacks some bass and has too much highs...try to lower a bit the gain

what are your settings?

it sounds like you have the bass knob at 0.

Well I forgot to mention that there was a TS9 before the amp; I used the Sneap settings of around 9 o'clock on the drive, 11 on tone, and 12 on level, and the amp was as follows (not in o'clock):

Gain - 4.5
Bass - 5.5
Mid - 4
Treble - 4.5
Res - 5.5
Pres - 5.5

So the bass was definitely NOT on 0, but I hear ya on the lack - the mic was about an inch from the cloth (but the speakers are rear-mounted on the baffle), so maybe a little more proximity effect would help.

Oh, and it's got JJ KT77 power tubes and JJ ECC83's in the preamp
