Hey MARCUS!!!!!

Oh man, there's no way it could match the unspeakable awesomeness (and goofiness) of the original, but it could be cool from a more serious "badass motherfucker who kills everybody" perspective :D In other words, IMO their best bet is to have it "inspired" by the original, but with quite a different overall tone, and that's what it's sounding like from the description, I'm pretty psyched! And since you mentioned it, Remo, I have to share the awesomeness:

:headbang: "And stewardess, please don't disturb my seatmate - he's dead tired":kickass:

Holy shit, The Expendables looks incredible! And I dunno, I can see why they omitted Mel Gibson, Lethal Weapon was more of a buddy cop series rather than straight-up action (still awesome though :headbang: ) And the fact that he isn't too popular these days  (though I heard Edge of Darkness was pretty solid)

What about Road Warrior, Mad Max, Braveheart ;)

Haha, true, I do need to see the two Mad Max movies (and Braveheart for that matter, even if it was '95 :D) - and also, another person they left out of The Expendables is Kurt Russell :(

KURT!!!! FUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!! Totally forgot about him

doesn't matter when Braveheart came out :p Mel was an action star before then

Thats like saying Arnold couldn't be included because of True Lies or something :D

Am I the only one thinking "total recall" is Goldsmith pretending to be Poledouris?

Btw, the 80's cheese halo in Commando is one of the reasons that makes me watch it everytime. If they make a modern version with vin diesel or whoever is the muscleman today I'll be pissed :(

Ever seen "Red Sonja" Phil? But yeah, he really can do no wrong, and I especially love the comedies he was in; he has such an awesome self-depricating sense of humor, so many people don't realize how funny he can be because he never takes himself too seriously, I fucking love "Twins" especially ("I did nothing to him, the ground was his enemy!":D)
