...what do you think about the ProgPower III line-up?
Again, too much power metal for me.
And like last year, if I go this time, it'll pretty much be just to see one band: Zero Hour.
(But that might be worth it alone!)

What's up Jersey boy!
Well I'm not sure what the line-up is for the ProgPower this year. I do really dig Zero Hour, I've seen them down here at a show in San Jose, they're killer man for sure. Otherwise, the line-up has to be a little stronger than one band from the Bay Area for me to go all the way out there again.
Why don't you post the bands playing here so I can parooz it.
Peace.

ProgPower USA III:
Blind Guardian
Angra
Gamma Ray
Pain of Salvation
Devin Townsend
Edguy
Threshold
Silent Force
Reading Zero
Zero Hour

Now admittedly, I haven't heard ALL of those bands before, but the ones I have heard are power metal (except Devin). And that's not really my style. I can maybe hang with Angra, but that's about it. And also from what I hear, Zero Hour is an opening band with one of the shorter setlists. (My luck!) I'm still deciding on whether it's worth it or not. After all, I don't live that far from Atlanta, especially compared to you, but I don't know yet.

Besides, it really won't be the same without Lars. I think that's something we both can agree with.
