Hilarious trailer for "Hit & Run"

Looks hilarious, I just hope it lives up to this trailer. Lately, it seems there's a lot of funny trailers out there...only for all the funny parts to actually be in the trailer.

odd...when watching the trailer it seemed that all the funny stuff was cut out? This movie looks painful, it struggles to be edgy. Butt fucking jokes were funny aout 20 years ago. I think what bothers me is that it is one of those comedies where everyone has to do that monologuing commentary for every line. This is definetly a comedy for the trailer park types. There has been a dry spell of good comedies out there. I highly recommend Seeking a Freind for the End of the World. That is comedy done right.

Congrats. I didn't think it possible, but you did it! Never before have you come off as such a pompous asshole on this forum.

Enjoy what you like and critique what you will. However, no need in you returning to this forum if you cannot keep your insulting stereotyping comments to yourself.

I'm headed back to the trailer park....

just trying to see what is the least bit funny about this movie? I understand there are movies made for just mindless entertainment but this is the type of film that someone would not even spend $1 on a Red Box rental or even a check it out on cable movie. Dax Sheperd is always a bad sign in any movie that it isnt going to be good. It is a shame Bradley Cooper hasnt done anything worth while after The Hangover.

It stinks that movies like this get greenlighted and many other great smaller smart comedies get overlooked because there is no name star or big budget. Comedies like this stink because when they tank at the box office it makes it harder for other comedies that are potentially to be good not to get made. As many times in the past there have been great movies in pre-production but then canned due to a movie coming out that tanks but in the same genre which makes studios nervous thinking that the market for that type of film isnt there. So this is why I dislike it when movies like this come out.

That is a perfectly acceptable critique and worthwhile commentary. Your movie elitism is well documented on this forum and that's cool. Hell, I understand where you are coming from. I have no problem with you slamming movies that us common folk enjoy for the mindless entertainment.

However, I draw the fucking line when you insult people directly for liking something that you do not.

I just take the movie "world" very serious and much to heart. I am as much into music as I am movies. What is scary is that there are people who wont see something because I gave it a bad review and they trust my taste because I have never let them down. I am very harsh on bad movies but when something is very good....I let the world know it.

I love lots of dumb movies...but there usually is something about them that makes me like them. This kind of movie that forces humor rubs me the wrong way. A comedy is the hardest movie to make. many directors will admit to that. It takes skill, talent, timing, and a very careful sense of smarts to pull it off perfectly. This is why when a really good comedy comes out it does big business. Sadly there isnt much coming out this year that I am looking forward to. Two comedies which were really good but are only getting a small release in major markets are KLOVN: THE MOVIE and THE INBETWEENERS: THE MOVIE. Both coming from thier tv shows. Which stinks is that most of the humor is lost if you have not seen the shows. I wont post the trailer for Klovn because of some scenes which some may find not appropriate but it is a very good movie...not nearly as funny as the tv show.
I highly recommend picking up sight unseen of the InBetweeners box set coming out next month. It is 3 seasons- 8 episodes each. One of the funniest tv shows made. Sadly Mtv has bought the rights and are remaking the show now so all of the smart humor will definetly be taken out.

Really the only movies I am looking forward to are these....

Branded....basically a They Live remake

also The Master and a few smaller films. This has been a real bad year for movies for me.

I'm pretty excited to see this and a bunch of others. I honestly feel like this is/was the best Summer movie season in a LONG time. So many great films.

I highly recommend Ted as well for stupid (read: amazing) dick and fart jokes. Movie had me in tears.

looks funny as hell!!! Has anyone seen any of the trailers for the movie Lawless??

Agreed. And good thing too because I felt last summer, hell the entire year for movies sucked. Ted is amazing too.

bumping because I saw this movie and it was surprisingly REALLY REALLY good. Great dialog, action, and character development. I can see quite alot of the writing in this film going over ALOT of people's heads. I hope Dax writes and directs more films.
