Can any of you recommend some great happy happy joy joy 60's music that isn't too gay, but still will make you want to run naked through a corn field?

What I have in mind is anything that sounds like the ending song to 40 yr old virgin. "Aquarius".

Will make you want to run naked through the psych ward, there is truly nothing quite as bizarre as this album. It's like a cross between Wind and the Willows and John Wayne Gacy on a Boy Scout camping trip.

This is my favorite "frolicking" moment of Tull, unless you count the main theme of Thick as a Brick.

RULES RULES RULES RULES RULES. This is as much jazz as it is rock I suppose, and the title track is beyond amazing.

These aren't superfruity by the way, I'm not really into that kind of stuff.

Gah, why don't I own any Love.

Also like, what other Traffic should I have? I just have Barleycorn.

yes, forever changes would be the definite starting point. factoid: Rhino Records basically got their start with their first Love single disk compilation.

Jefferson Airplane owns, but only the early stuff is what you'd call happy. Bless it's Pointed Little Head is a stellar live CD.

I've only heard samples of bothj, but i'm pretty new to this genre and I'M GONNA BUY THESE BECAUSE THEY SOUND LIKE THEY RULE!

is this really very "hippy" or "make love to the world" really

i dunno the track i heard was fucking dark
You probably heard "Witchwood", that's the only song of the album that can be considered "dark". The album is generally "bright".
Btw only The Incredible String Band album is "60s" or "60s psychedelia" (kinda). Caravan is from a totally difference scene, and The Strawbs are more prog/folk.
