I just picked up the CD HIRAX - THE NEW AGE OF TERROR and it is some killer old school thrash!

 

[Lies and Perfidy]

Hirax has kind of a bad rap as mediocre punk-thrash, but I saw them live in June with Heathen, and they fucking kicked ass. Katon DePena's vocals come off much better live, though they're pretty good on Terror.

Highly recommend seeing these guys live to anyone who has the chance.

They are quite average, but fun, and Katon is an awesome vocalist.

His voice evolved in the exact same way Bobby Blitz's did.

Hirax are a seriously good band. Bombs of Death is a classic Thrash/Crossover track. I like the new album, Katon does indeed sound amazing on it.
