It's too bad that marty is in the band. He's the fuckstick responsible for risk, and you should hear the stuff from red dye #2, his "pop-rock with BALLS" band after he left megadeth. Worst music ever. What a fuckin' tool. He'll screw it up and make this deceptively great line-up suck a mad nut. I feel i should mention that i like friedman old-school, but now he's just a sell-out. Fuck him.
On a brighter note, there's much potential here! oh well, only time will tell, i hope i'm wrong, but..red dye #2 is sooooo...bad. there's no words describing how terrible it is. If you told someone a dude from megadeth was in it, they'd shit. Oh well, here's hopin'! *finishes beer*

Also, why is everyone so excited about this? Like they are going to put out anything worth listening to......it will be pure mediocrity, just like the past 3 Megadeth albums.

red dye # 2 wasn't disco, it was pop rock with balls man. Fuck, pop is in the damn name. I don't want to bash freidman too much, i mean he is an amazing lead player, but hey i can't approve of Red Dye #2 or Risk, and he deserves some shit for that. But if he's interested in playing metal and not just doing this for novelty's sake or some shit, then good. Then i won't have to weep everytime i listen to RIP for the loss of a great guitarist to fuckin' Pop music

indeed

Megadeth is NOT reforming.. this will be another band entirely.

you know how RATM dudes got Cornell to sing for that unreleased "Civilian" stuff, and it kinda sorta sounded like RATM but not really? that's how this will be.

it should be interesting though.

Are they gonna call themselves Megadeth is the question? I would assume Mustaine owns the copyright to that name, and I sure the hell dont see him letting those guys use it. I agree with earlier comments, in that, Mustaine was the creative genius, and Friedman etc. are rather boring songwriters, and I never was a huge fan of degrasso and his rather lackluster drumming.
I say bring back Chris Poland and let him write the damn songs.

Hey ..

On May I went to a workshop with Marty Friedman and he played three new songs of his new solo album...
Nothing involving Red Dye #2.... and the songs are heavy.. the first one has a drum witch is a little bit "dancing" but only for the first two minutes..
So I believe that he can create heavy riffs without problem...
