This is a children's program here in the UK with a very humorous slant, teaching kids and teenagers about English history. They have these hilarious songs amongst the generally totally piss funny sketches. Although the show is aimed at kids and teens, a lot of the humour is almost adult in nature although kids here in the uk are mostly very worldly wise these days. I will post a couple of the funniest and best songs. The rest you will have to explore on YT. I'm not sure how well the humour would travel in the comedy sketch routines but the songs are universally funny.

A power ballad from the Vikings with awesome lyrics. Too funny!

A rap take on Eminem about Charles II - again perfect and quite a work of genius lyrically

Blackbeard's Song- again lyrically marvellous!

and here is the best sketch which is just killing me. You might have to know a little about English youth culture to get into this one.

That's interesting! I don't know how much I buy into his theory, but it's an interesting way to think of it.

Interesting, but almost certainly wrong. It is known -- meaning that at least two or three unrelated historians living at the time concur -- that Alexander the Great stopped at the actual site of Troy on his way East, and it was at the 'accepted' Dardanelles/Turkish location.
Apparently, by Alexander's time, the once-great city of Troy had become a bit of a minor tourist attraction. :)
