How would i...? Gtr amp question

Is it possible to use an amp heads effects(delay), but bypass the amplification and tone controls, and send the signal to podfarm to sim the amp and cab? How would i do this?

Why not just use the delay in Podfarm?

i most likely will but a band requested it and i was wondering if it were possible?

It probably depends on the amp in question.

I can't think of any advantage to doing it though (unless the amp's delay is really unique, which it most likely isn't).

Just act like you're doing it and when they're not looking, toss a delay over the channel.

Yeah i agree. I was just trying to think maybe sending the fx send to my interface, would bypass the amp.

I'm sure the loop on the amp is after the distortion. Or even if it was before, the FX loop would likely be BEFORE the onboard FX.

No point, really. You'd be better off using your effects and tweaking until you've got a close match or a better effect entirely.

Whats the amp in question? I don't think it's possible, taking the effects send will have the pre in the signal path.
