go about taking a screenshot of what's on my comouter screen?

can anyone help me out with this?

Hit Print Screen on your key board. This will copy the screen, and open up like MS Paint or something and paste it.

By the way, if you didn't know the Print Screen key is to the right of F12 unless you have a wacky French keyboard.

I figured that the print screen would automatically print the screen...

If you only want to copy the active window, rather than the whole screen (assuming the window doesn't fill the entire screen ), hold down the Alt key while you do it.........
