Much a I like Ozzy ( he seems to have lost the plot). His first two Albums :" Blizzard" and" Diary" are being remastered but the parts played originally by Bob Daisley (Bass- an Aussie I might add) and Lee Kerslake (Drums) are being redone by his current backing band who they are at the moment eludes me. But this is totally fucked IMO how greedy is that son of a Bitch of a wife of his- just keep milking the punters, well i for one will mot buyinh them - I'd love to have the extra tracks on CD IE " You looking at me looking at you " & "You SAID It all" but fuk no.

On a brighter note did anyone see ACA the other week when Ozzy was given a Star on Hollywood, also it showed a couple clips of the MTV series "The Osbournes" . His eldest daughter Aimee chose not to take part in the Series she must be the only sane one in the family.

His current drummer is Mike Bordin (ex-Faith No More) and the bassist is Robert Trujillo (ex-Suicidal Tendencies) ...both excellent musicians in their own right... but to mess with classics like BOO or DOAM is just plain dumb if ya ask me... I'm very dubious as to whether it will work.

I dont know, think about how much better the production stuff is these days....... Though Randys guitar will sound SO weak compared to the newly recorded bits (I mean production wise, not that he was a bad player or anything!) so it may sound silly.
If you are going to do the drums, you may as well get Zakk to do the guitars as well and release it as a compilation of all of ozzys old hits that arent up to todays standards production wise, like Testament did with First Strike. Thats what id like to see anyway

All this is just because Sharon doesnt want the original drummer and bass player to get royalties

If they were to rerecord the album, bass, drums, guitar and vocals I would be happy. (Although Ozzy sounds like a turd these days).
But what they ARE doing, and the reasons behind it, are bullshit.

I wonder what Zakk has to say about all this?

Suicidal Tendencies did it when they did Still Cyco After All These Years. The re-recorded songs sound miiiiiiiiiiles better than the originals. Rob Trujillo is a god on bass.

But they're not re-recording the entire songs, just the bass and drums.
