Hows this mix?

Hey all, just finished this song up was looking for some feedback.

Recorded this with my Ibanez RG42DX w/EMG81 and Ibanez EDB400 bass

Hey man, the mix sounds really great, i liked a los the paths taht you pot on the song. On the other hand the riffs are cool but i think you can improve the structure of the song.
are the drums triggered? o what did you used?.

Yes, I programmed them in EZDFH and used APTrigga to replace the kick/snare.

What improvements of the structure should I look towards?

The kick is quite buried IMO, so you either need the cut some bass from the guitars or make the kick clickier and louder - or both.
The guitar tone sounds quite muffled, needs more highs and less mids. Don't ask what specific frequencies because I have no clue . Good job otherwise.

Instead of repeating the first part around 1:40 forward try to put that at the end to put more dynamism in the song and the other part of the song that starts around 2:20 put it in the middle. but man it depends on you, if you like the way your song is... what the hell!
BTW, i would appreciate if you give some comments about a mix I've posted.

I agree kick is really buried , and the cymbals sound fake , but I guess that can't be helped. Besides that it sounds pretty good , like the other guy said the guitars need more clarity

I believe the guitars need more harmonics around the 200 to 400 hz but less high end. This won't be fixed with an eq tought.

There was actually an abundance of 200-400hz that I had to cut out, so I don't really think I needed more in that area.


Heres an updated mix, just cleared up the guitars a bit and fixed the kick, hope this sounds a little better

i'm at work using headphones but as far as i can hear now the kick is ok.
