As I sit here and listen to Hubi's latest album Kaelash, I could only imagine what it would be like to see one of the most emotional, passionate singers live (perhaps at a future PP). All I know is that it would be a surreal moment for me as I have always enjoyed his overly expressive voice and to this day hold the album Very from Dreamscape in my top 10 ever!!!

I would love to know whether Glenn has ever considered Hubi or if not, whether you will now after the release of this great album. I don't think there has ever been a solo artist other than Jorn (this year). I think Hubi would make for a perfect 3 slot!!!

I agree that Hubi has an incredibly passionate voice. It really comes alive when his feminine style contrasts with something like Dreamscape's music. I think "Very" is an outstanding discs and I do not think they will top it. It just clicks with me.

That said, Hubi's solo stuff would come across as the Micheal Bolton of prog on stage in Atlanta. It's a great disc for me to put on before I got to bed so he can lullaby me to sleep (in a good way). It's not something I believe the crowd would go apeshit over as they would much prefer a growler. If he went back to something like Maeven of Connacht (or however you spell it), then he would indeed get serious consideration.

Thanks for the response Glenn; I totally understand where you are coming from. Maeve of Connacht is such a great disc!!! I also agree 100% with your comment about Dreamscapes Very (a one of a kind album for me ; similar to the way I feel about Superior's Behind album!).

Perhaps you can book him for a one of a kind acoustic show!!! Yeah, I'm stretching.... I would just love to see him perform live.

Maeve of Connacht reunion? LOL

I don't know about that, Glenn. Sometimes I think it would be really cool to just chill out for a bit instead of being pummeled the whole time to see someone with Hubi's talent perform.

You have a point as it would be a nice contrast, and if I'm not mistaken, there is some nice shredding on Kaelash at times. Come on Glenn, if anyone will go out on a limb, it's you! How about Dragonforce into Hubi or vice versa:headbang:

I thought I was the only guy who preferred "Very" over "End Of Silence." However, that's not to slight the latter album, as it was one of my favorite releases of 2004 and well worth the wait. That said, I think Glenn is underestimating the number of "light metal" fans in attendance. Hubi would definitely make a great #4 slot or kick-off party artist. I'm putting the testicles on offer once again to see Hubi perform some Dreamscape tunes live.

Stay metal. Never rust.
