I found 12 gauges work pretty well on raccoons, and if you knew about raccoons you would know they're agressive mean, and fearless disease spreading vermin, and if they bite you, your kid or your dog anyone can die from the dirty mouth a thing called Raccoon Bacteria paralysis, it's more then just a rabies problem.

Frankly I'm getting tired of shooting them, I need a dog to bark them away; other then that, I've never really been a hunter.
