I was just thinking about it and I've been listening to these guys for like 15 years now. they were my very first punk-rock show at Gilman St. in 7th grade. And I heard that my pal from 5th grade who first got me into punk is now playing live 2nd guitar with them. Which makes me especially bummed that I didn't see them this tour, cuz they rule live even still in huge arenas.

saw them at a big open air festival this summer and was still crazy fun.

I remember "longview" being one of my first big challenges to play on bass back in elementary school.

the back of dookie is a map of my old neighborhood, more or less. I don't really know those dudes personally, but so many of people and places they reference are very familiar to me.
