King's X - Dogman and Tool's 10,000 Days sound SO FUCKING AWESOME!!

k, I admit, this is another "I'm pished" thread...but seriously...these recordings souns SO good!

all of you should play some King's X - Dogman NOW!

I wish I knew more about the guitarsounds...
I know it's a 2ch Recto and Mr. Wagener has probably used a combination of different mics including the RE121 again...sounds like no boost....
one of the best recordings ever!

I'm sure Mike would love to take credit for it, but that album was Brendan O'Brien. :loco:

I actually never liked the snare on 10,000 days, I find the ringing really irritating - but the rest of the prod. definitely rules, I just wish the music was a little more interesting :(

I'm a big prog fan, but I've never listened to King's X before, have to check them out post haste!

Musically I think the follow-up record "Ear Candy" is even better. It's one of my all-time favorite records!

I am huge fan of King's X from Dogman to Tapehead era!

EDIT: I just ordered the "Ear Candy" record again on Amazon, cause mine got stolen a couple of years ago ...

Ty Tabor`s last recording "Rock Garden" has some great sounds also.
For those who know it already: there is some kind of effect going on when he plays open chords. Can anybody tell me what that is?

I've been checking out this Dogman cd for the last week now... and it fucken rules!!
