Something that I deal with for decades ... latency compensation. What the heck is wrong with that feature? I play some tight guitars and then I have to edit the track-position maually because of a non-working compensation algorithm. How do you handle that?

Yeah i've never had any issues with it as well. I've used Cubase SX3 and now i'm using Cubase 6.5

I've had this happen before... it was a random type situation and i'd always just restart and itd be okay.

make sure your "Device Setup" setting aren't wacked out. I suggest hitting the "set to default" button, restarting, and see what happens.

If it's a constant issue then either (my thoughts)

1. Your devices driver sucks (not likely IMO).
or
2. Latency isn't being reported accurately and you need to do a loopback test to set that shit correctly.

I've done the loopback with my device and it was 2 samples off :)lol:). Not really enough to give a shit, but I did set cubase to compensate for those last 2 samples.
