I enjoy playing/listening to thrash and black metal
I get to choose a guitar this Friday for a little over or under 100$ and would appreciate recommendations

maybe some sort of ibanez?

$100 is tight. you can like a cheap strat copy i know for around there but its really not too ideal for metal.

you can probably get a decent ibanez or bc rich or something. you best bet is to try to get a used ibanez from ebay for like $125 or so

just search ebay for ibanez or esp or bcrich and you will find something. they wont be the best guitars but like sloan said make sure its got humbuckers it gets you close to where you need to be for a metal sound, single, especially cheap ones probably wont get you enough juice.

yeah, I've got an Agile Les Paul copy from Rondo - it was on sale for $150 I believe. that's as cheap as it gets - there's nothing at $100 or less worth a crap new.

the Agile is nice - I play mine all the time. a nice 'round-the-house axe. I even like the stock pickups, but I'm gonna switch out the bridge for a Dimarzio Super Distortion so I can pretend to be Al DiMeola.

the only other option would be something used that you happen upon.

another option: just go into a pawn shop, grab a few les paul copies (some 1970s ones kick ass) if you find one that fits, just say "look, this is all the cash I have."

They'll be new.

I really like that red one, looking at it again.

Also plan on upgrading pickups at some point - while I have to admit that spending as much on pickups as you did on the guitar they're going in tends to hurt, it's worth it in the end.

Every guitar with humbucker pickups has to have them replaced? Im really inexperienced with that

It's not a humbucker thing, it's a price and personal preference thing.

If you do get around to it, there are guides everywhere (check projectguitar.com for whatever you may need) or you can just post a general question and you'll easily get at least a few responses.

in all honesty, for $100, your best bet would probably be to hit up a pawn shop or craigslist or some shit and find something used

pawn shops can usually be talked down a LOT from their asking price...i've scored 3 guitars from pawn shops for $100/ea. - an ESP H-200 custom, a jackson PS-4, and an epiphone SG, and each would've cost well over $100 new, especially the ESP
