I had no desire to see the Green Hornet until...

the making of this film has been nothing but a disaster. Actor changes...directror changes and script changes over and over. It has been pushed back 4 times since last year and now in the january dumping ground. The trailer looks terrible. All the generic jokes and set ups are there that you dont even need to see the film. With the added 3D now it just makes me not want to see it even more. To bad there is nothing out and people will go see this just for something to do and it will be claimed a "hit" by the sudio. There are so many other better films out there to be seen.

While production has been complicated (I was disappointed when Stephen Chow bowed out, and I've been very unsure of Rogan as the lead.), word has actually been good both on AICN and IMDB's forum.

you have to remember that AInt it Cool isnt a true review site since it is well known and announced that the studios send gifts to the site for good reviews. I have only heard dreaded things about the film from actual review sites with very little actual good press. I think if Steven Chow was on board I would see it because the man is pure talent. I think it is what this film is missing.

There was a Mythbusters special a few weeks ago trying to see if they can duplicate some of the special effects in real life (without the Hollywood style "special effects"). From the clips I saw on that show, the movie seems really lame... and Seth Rogen seemed pretty lame as well. No thank you to this movie.

I for one am a huge fan of Michel Gondry's work and had high hopes for this movie (especially considering the strong cast) until I heard it was getting released in January. As Diabolik said, that's a dumping ground for movies which implies that the studio thought the film is bad.

To those of you who are touting Steven Chow, do you mean the Dragonball Evolution Steven Chow? Pure talent?! What? I can't believe anyone would think that hack is better than Gondry.

I saw Kung Fu Hustle and it was solid and fun but his stuff doesn't even come close to Gondry's films. Plus, I don't care who you are, you work on a film as shitty as Dragonball Evolution (that movie was so bad I'm surpised Uwe Boll didn't direct it), your credibility goes out the window. ;)

Uh, as far as I know, Stephen Chow didn't work on the Dragonball movie.

Kung Fu Hustle is OK, but I liked Shaolin Soccer better. While I like Gondry's films, I have no clue how he will handle action. This seem to be an oddball choice for him.

Have you seen Uwe Boll's movie RAMPAGE. It is actually really good. Showtime is actually playing it this month.

Hahaha he produced it according to both Wiki and IMDB. :(

What exactly do you like about Shaolin Soccer? That move is absolutely ridiculous (which... was the point). But maybe I didn't get something about it. I saw it while eating dinner a Chinese restaurant (they used to have movies playing all the time).

This movie looks pretty bad to me. I haven't seen the original series, and have no real interest. Doesn't look like it has genuine interesting characters encountering interesting situations.

Shaolin Soccer was hillarious, to me. It was campy and cheesy on purpose. Ridiculous, yes, that was the point. It was like watching a Loony Tunes cartoon in live action.

"Team Evil" was epic.
