Went to the gay one in SF yesterday. I am not gay, but you wouldn't know it because my lame ass sister wouldn't go with my mother and so I was the default. Yep. Went to the gay parade with my mother.

I'm actually less gay for the experience, it seems. Wasn't as "liberated" as one might expect. There were a couple of ugly fat guys in Speedos and some shirtless women, but eh. Not a big deal. There were a few funny fake picketers on the floats, though.

One said "Where's my gay mortgage?"

Nope. Wasn't even going to go but I felt bad. We had a gay relative that died of AIDS, and that made my mother dead set on going this year.
