My girlfriend just recently bought a parakeet and i have my Launchcast radio station playing and let me say, he loves the metal. Everytime he hears a heavy song he starts chirping like crazy and goes nuts. He loves it. So far his favorite songs are Whiplash, Create the Infinite, EoR, and Down in a hole. This is hysterical.

A freind of mine had a parrot once that headbanged to old school metallica what's with this metal-bird correlation?

And some grind! He likes Carcass. But, he really likes voices. He'll sing along (?) or he'll laugh and giggle. Then bob and weave. I think he's got a real thing for WD though. Another obsessed fan of WD. How did this happen?

Birds love music, keep that little one happy! Just not to loud, but you know that.

HAHAHAHA! Great stuff!! Parakeets are more capable of talking than you'd ever think. In fact, they can have a vocabulary of at least 120 words. (You have to listen pretty hard to hear them though. It's a tiny voice.)

If you can handle him, sing those lyrics too him too. So he can learn to bang and sing at the same time.

I dont have any pets. Do neighbors count? I have some chinese or phillipino people that live next to me and I usually start listening to metal, loudly I might add, at about 2 or 3 in the morning. When a slow song comes on or I turn the shit off for the night, I can hear them talking. Funny thing is that I dont know if they are singing along or cursing at me in their native tongue. Oh well. Serves the bastards right, I could hear them laughing at me the last time I bowed before the toilet god and made an offering of vomit made from beer, popcorn, and other assorted nastiness.

My neighbors are pretty cool...they haven't complained about the music level (which can be heard down the street at times)...I generally don't listen to music on the stereo past eight at night or before ten in the morning...just out of decency
