here she is (I looked her up in the NEU faculty directory):
Ellen Scharfenberg
Ellen Scharfenberg is an assistant academic specialist and writing lecturer in the School of General Studies. She has taught a variety of writing and literature courses at both Northeastern and Emerson College — from first-year writing, to professional writing, to creative writing, to multicultural literature. Scharfenberg also has helped design and revise the English as a Second Language curriculum for Northeastern's English department, served on its writing diagnostic committee (which places all first-year students in appropriate writing courses), taught in the Northeastern/Roxbury Community College summer bridge program, served as a judge for the Excellence in Writing awards for first-year and middler-year students as well as the SGS Annual Writing Contest, and participated in Northeastern's Academic Common Experience summer 2000 workshops. Scharfenberg is a published writer and poet with extensive editorial experience. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in English, cum laude, from Boston College, a master's degree in English, summa cum laude, from Northeastern, and a master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing, summa cum laude, from Emerson College.
Schargenberg appreciates SGS's "feeling of community — from the faculty to administration to staff and, of course, to students, there is a feeling of cohesiveness I've never heard it called THAT before)that I haven't experienced at other institutions, or even at other colleges at Northeastern. We all work together to make sure that our students are receiving the best education possible, and the students work together in their 'houses' to make sure that they use that education in the best way possible. This makes facing — and meeting — challenges easier and more productive, and is just one reason that teaching and learning in SGS is so rewarding."
