I just got a Line6 UX2...

Me thinks I'll use it for vocals first, just to test it out... I can also (supposedly) use it as a DI in... which seems cool...

I'll let you know... That and it wouldn't be two separate channels, would it? there is only one spdif connection on the UX2...

I obviously dont know how spdif works... is it like adat?

+1 on the spdif, it's the way to go.

Just make sure you monitor on the UX2 and not the 002 when you record (latency like a mofo).

Also: I literally hate the mic preamp modelers but you may find you like them, I usually do not use them and just grab the natural sound of the preamps, serprisingly they are not that horrible.

Also: Using it for a DI in is aight but using a line splitter IMO has sounded better for me personally. I have had alright results using it as a DI, just make sure you don't use any effects, including the gate.

SPDIF can carry two channels with one little RCA jack.

I've heard some solid vocal stuff using the modeled preamps, but I can imagine the dry sound being better, given my experience with L6 in the past.
