And let me tell you that..

Jon Schaffer`s right hand is an engine, fucking crazy, and Matt Barlow nailed even the highest notes, is incredible, such an amazing voice.:headbang:

Fuck yeah!!!!!

Did you see what gear they're using?

Any chance for their live playlist?

Well, gear used was Marshall amps, but i don´t recall the model, Schaffer was using a white Les Paul, I don´t know the other guys in the band, but they were ok, guitarrist sucks though, he missed some solos, and he play like with no feeling (this is the only weak point) but you really can give a fuck, because Schaffer eat him on stage, the Rythm guitar are overwhelming, the other guy cannot follow him at all, Bassist was cool and the drummer was Ok.

As For the set list, i dont remember exactly, but mostly Something wicked and Night of the stormrider, just one song from Horror Show (Dracula) one from Glorious Burden (Declaration Day), Ten thousend strong (This one Kick ass live!!!) and other new song that i didn´t knew, was a realy cool show, Damn Barlow im still impressed, he nailed Ripper`s songs perfectly.

Hahahaha, is the amp seriously called "Larry?" The logo should be a silhouette of fat guy in a recliner backlit with pink LED's

i knew that, most bands doesn´t carry their gear when they come here, so they ask for other stuff, but probably he had his amp hidden, in stage there was just marshalls.

-1 o_O

I saw them 2008 in Texas. Fucking great show. I heard they are supposed to be coming out with a live dvd sometime in the future.

Well, this is subjective. But they cant do albuns like Night Of The Stormrider or Burnt Offerings anymore. Their quality has been decaying since the Horror Show. For me that was their last best album. After that they did very weak stuff IMO.

i respect your opinion, i'm just saying mine is quite different. i started out on glorious burden and framing armageddon, so when i began listening to the older stuff with barlow it was very weird. i still have yet to really dig into the really early stuff like stormrider and their self titled, but i have grown to like both tim and matt as vocalists, now preferring matt slightly.

i guess i'm glad i started out with their "weakest" stuff because it doesn't seem very weak to me at all!

It´s just preferences. I began with Night Of Stormrider and I like much more their early stuff with the fusion of thrash/power and epic metal. The new stuff it´s too soft and the song structures are quite simple, after listening 1/2 times there is nothing more to discover. It doesnt have the same feeling.

I also thing that Horrow show is their peak, and in fact my favorite album from them, but i did like Glorious burden a lot, specially the Gettysburg Cd, it kick so much ass and have a lot of emotion.

Yes, he uses a Larry, they cost $8000 dollars and they don't sound that great. I would know because I am one of the few people on earth who has actually RECORDED ONE:

This was recorded at Fortinfest 09'. One 57 on my Mills cabinet.

The following clip is a Fortin Meathead through the same setup.

Dude - that is NOT $8k worth of guitar tone.

I gotta check more shit out by this band - I head a few of their older tunes, but I am not a real heavy power metal listener - but, might be time to give them abother go.

i saw them last year sometime, and i got to meet them! i shook their hands, i couldnt say anything lol... they were very nice though.
and dont mind my husband's face, he COULD talk and he got along with freddie. and last minute he messed with him and poked his head or something. the face was the aftermath. lol
