I just stayed up all night playing Maniac Mansion :(:(:(:(:(

also i had this weird fear that one of my friend's houses was going to get blasted by a meteor last night, and the following day I would see them type on AIM or some board

ASDGFSHA METEOR :[[[[[

Also, cheerios time.

I did in fact, start playing the game because I thought in this game there is a painting/photo on one of the mansion walls of the tentacle. Like, the tentacle posing for a photo or something. There is one of the meteor. Anyway I played through the game trying to fnd this picture but it actually doesn't exist. I imagined it!

Well, I decided to finish the game anyway and it took a few hours.

Maniac Mansion ruled!!! I clocked that when I was a youngin' and cherished it with all me heart!

Zak McKraken and the Alien Mindbenders was bloody ace as well!

I seem to recall there being one actually. Mind you, I've played a couple of the (uncensored) pre-NES editions extensively. So, it's plausible that I'm thinking of some stuff that did not make the transition.

As for running DOTT in OSX, the standalone game will not work under Classic. So you'll need to either use one of the previous versions of the OS or run the game through an emulator. In addition, the app will require the full file set of whatever SCUMM title you wish to run. In other words, your ROM for the talkie edition of DOTT would be +/- 300 meg.

I can't think of too many games where you get to microwave Hampsters.

Oh yeah, I got Day of the Tentacle for PC. It's cool and all, with the good graphics and voice acting and stuff, but its not open-ended at all. There are a million ways to beat Maniac Mansion, but DoTT is more linear.
