I know I lose all of my UG true headbanger status for this...

...but fucking hell Seether's new album is good. I didn't know of the band before I was forced to hear a couple of their songs on the radio in the army, and actually quite liked them. I think this is going to be a regular driving album in my car's player. Anyone else share this shameful confession?

You know... That special underground credibility one gets by only listening to Metallica's C-cassette demo tapes back from the day when the band was just Hetfield, a four-track, a cheap Casio for the drums and his mom's basement.

Hahaha I know.. but I thought you wanted to say UM = Ultimate Metal .. and you said UG = Ultimate Guitar

What do you think about the new album?

I thought the exact same thing :D And while the only Seether song I've ever heard is "Remedy," that song sucks so hard it left a pretty poor impression of the band on me. But, as always, I won't make up my mind on this new album your referring to until I hear it for myself (though I'm not gonna go out of my way to do so :) ).

I love Seether. Especially the newest album. It's fantastic and the mix is great also. Anyone know what amps they used? I'd guess recto.

I have only heard their newest, Finding beauty in negative spaces, and while it has a lot of filler songs that really don't catch my attention that much, it has awesome production and the vocalist sounds just killer. Check out Fake it or Fuck me like you hate me @ YouTube, those are probably my favourites from the album.

I thought they were better when they were "Saron Gas" jamming in South Africa but that was before they went commercial and moved to US.
