It's better to get criticism from people that know what they are doing rather than the kids seeking an easy way to make commercial tunes via patches and such. Just have to be patient.

Like, if someone mentions they used a real amp it's like OMGZ DAT SOUNZ AMAAAAZZIINNGG111!!!1shift1, even if it's really badly engineered and sounds terrible

Even if the tones aren't even good anyway, people on SS.org are obsessed over the guitar tone too often and completely lose sight of the mix.
I love how you get guys that posted a clip of just guitars and nothing else and then they ask "GUIZE YOU RECKON THIS SOUNDS BR00TAL? but it's so insanely full of low mids , has no high pass filtering and is really muffled and wouldn't stand a chance of working in a mix
