It grew as large as four full CD-Rs at one point, but after much consideration I was able to whittle it down to under 80 minutes for some Hot Single Disc Axxxion.

Larks' Tongues in Aspic Part 1 (1973)
Fallen Angel (1974)
Elektrik (2003)
Thela Hun Ginjeet (1981)
Red (1974)
Book of Saturdays (1973)
The Night Watch (1974)
Easy Money (1973)
Cirkus (1970)
FraKctured (2000)
Larks' Tongues in Aspic Part 2 (1973)

Tell me your thoughts, and please scold me for not including anything from In the Court. :)

eh, its tough making a 1 disc crimso collection, you're brave for trying it

though its a little heavy on the wetton era don't you think? (not that I'm hatin, its my fav) but a lot of those things could have gone for older stuff (or newer even). And I would have thrown on some live things.

If you think the outcome is Wetton heavy you should've seen the qualifiers before. :dopey: What I'm probably going to do is make a part II if they dig this, one where I'll concentrate on the non-Wetton stuff. Live I stayed away from because it would've just gone nuts, like "here you go, 3 studio discs and 14 live discs, enjoy" But obviously yeah, 73-74 is my favorite era as well.

Why did you make it for dicks?
COCK ROCK BABY!!!

A commendable attempt at a single-disc introduction, if you do the next one have it begin with Schizoid Man, throw Epitaph in between some live tracks (or alternately do an all-live CD-R once they become converted), and end with Starless.

This one was going to open with that, but then I decided to bookend with Larks' 1 & 2. But yeah, part two will definitley begin with that, I'm sort of ashamed this one doesn't (but have a cool excuse why :D ).

The only two King Crimson songs I';ve heard are: Elektrik & Epitaph...(in the woods cover), and they are quite good.
Sorta funny, those songs are 34 years apart. :tickled: If you want to explore further The Power to Believe could make an excellent start, even if I almost always recommend beginning a journey through Crimso with Red.
