Yep.

Les Paul Studio -> FP10 -> TS emulation -> 8505 -> forget what impulse...

Drums are all sampled with various samples found on here. Toms are the chimara samples.

Bass is DI'd with a chain very similar to the guitar chain, but with like a 8x10 impulse, I think, and obviously way less gain.

Vocals were done with an MXL 990. (recently upgraded to an AT4040).

Mixed on BX5as

Tear it apart. :cry:

Edit: I had my 5150 II hooked up to my 1960a in a half walk in closet with all the clothes still hung up and some extra blankets. Mic'd with a 57. It sounded really... dull. Was it most likely my inexperience with micing cabs or did the closet play a big part it? I really need to learn how to mic cabinets well. Well, not "how", but I need to develop an ear to hear WHAT I'm really looking for.

BUMPPP guys.

I don't mean to post the same song again, but I need to know what I should focus on.

I was talking to a lot of people last night and got feedback from it, which ranged from it being alright to the guitars being really muddy. The stupid kid was arguing with me and saying a DI'd guitar will never sound as good as an amp. I said, "well, I guarantee you I can get it damn close." We argued a bit. This is coming from a kid with a blue voodoo and a marshall mg cab...

But yah, please help me out guys. Thanks so much.

thanks, man.

Yah. I was really worried about the kick because I listened to the mix previously to this one on my friends home theater system, and the kick was overwhelming almost. Don't get me wrong, it was thumpin' lol, but it was on the verge of meing too much. Especially on some of the double bass work. So I took the sample I was using for my low end and dialed it down a bit. I'm mixing on pretty small monitors which obviously doesn't compensate for the low end, but I suppose that its just part of me getting to know my monitors. But thanks for the feedback.

The guitars are quad tracked, which might be why I think it sounds a bit muddy...

Also, it seems to be right on the edge of being too "hot"... Anyone get that impression?
