First post for me here on this board. Long time Anthrax fan from the mid 80's .. been to at least 3 shows back in the days but have lost interest in them after Persistance of Time ...
That being said ...
I picked the new record up at a Circuit City sale this past weekend for $9.99 figuring if it really sucks I can always Ebay it ...
This is a great fucking record, I am not a huge Anthrax fan, but this really kicks ass. They can actually hold a good riff when they need to and Benante's drumming is top notch. I never noticed how good a drummer he is.
There are some filler tracks but even those are forgivable. Much better than a lot of crap coming out and definetelly better than the new Metallica crud.
At least Anthrax still knows how to write great songs ...
I was taken by surprise to say the least and give my kudos to the boys for being able to still tear it up in style!!!!
