Iced Earth opening for Nightwish?????

I am surprised that IE would open for NW.
This is happening in Quebec I belive, on May 9th.

Nightwish got really mainstream with their new pop sound, doesnt surprise me

Well, more surprised that Schafer would open for NW.
The only bands since they have been signed that they opened for have been Blind Guardian in Europe, Megadeth in the States, and then most recently Heaven and Hell...

I wouldn't guess NW a band that Jon & co would specifically "open" for.

it should be the otherway around. especially with Iced Earth's recent success with FA.

Jon's made it a point over the past few years explaining that the only way IE is going to gain new fans and grow is to open for other bands.

it still gave exposure. And honestly most ppl will at least like if not love the other eras as well.

I just thought Iced Earth was more well known than Nightwish but i guess im wrong. So in the end Im glad IE found another gig that Barlow can do.
