Iced Earth/Volbeat on tour...

Speaking of Volbeat, I was watching a recent episode of That Metal Show and one of the co-host dudes was wearing a Volbeat shirt on the show. Thought that was cool to see them supporting a band that has graced the PP stage but also one that didn't begin in the 80's. On the flip side of the coin though, I think this was the episode where they had the Heart sisters on as guest and said that as they show continues to expand it's horizons, we would see more from the rock and metal world. Sadly, they continue to go in the wrong direction by pursuing rock bands when they have a whole wealth of European metal bands to explore. But that may be a budgetary thing too - not easy/cheap to bring people from Europe to LA to tape 15 minutes of a show.
Volbeat never did play ProgPower... if I recall correctly, it was planned at one point years ago, but then never happened.

Looks like they are having a good time.... Another example of how "serous" music, can srill be fun.....

This was a killer tour. It's nice to see how the 2 bands (or at least Schaffer and Poulsen) connected together and look to have a great time. From what I read, Volbeat wanted to have Iced Earth as the 2nd band in the bill (and not the 3rd) but the labels or else decided to add Hellyeah.
