I'd like some Shadows Fall and Lamb of God recomendations.....

Shadows Fall are real good. You should download:

Stepping outside the circle
What drives the weak
the power of I and I
Crushing Belial
destroyer of senses

And for Lamb of God try the following:

Suffering Bastard (Burn the Priest)
Terror and Hubris in the House of Frank Polard (New American Gospel)
11th Hour (As the Palaces Burn)
Laid To Rest (Ashes of the Wake)

I'm gonna catch them opening for SlipKnot and want to know if they are worth my time. Name me some tunes to download, or you can mail some burned tunes. Whatever. I'll hook you up with something from my endless vault of ANTHRAX boots.
The War Within cd is great.

Shadow's Fall "War Within" is pretty decent. I've liked everything I've heard. Saw LOG @ Sharonfest. They're okay. Actually they're starting to grow on me. Singer leaves something to be desired but have a somewhat unique guitar sound. They're band from the LA Forum where you're precious Lakers play!!!!!!
Sorry, Inglewood).

I was lucky enough to see both Slipnott and Shadows Fall in the last few weeks here in OZ - Slipnott - great show Shit Sound !
Shadows Fall kicked ass - an all round brilliant show !
Definately rate Shadows Fall higher than Slipnott.

Do not stay for Slipknot.:loco:

Slipknot is a far better band now than they were at any point in their career.

Whether or not their maturity on the last album will translate over in concert remains to be seen. However, I've heard that they're sinking a ton of cash into the production this year, so at least you'll have some pyro to look at if they sound horrible again.

What they all said about Shadows Fall. Destroyer of Senses is what got me hooked. I like a lot of their stuff.

Don't know much lamb of god.

I actually do like Slipknot. ALthough this latest album is much more commercial in my opinion i kind of like a lot of their music. I wish I would have been smart enough to get 4 buddies who actually play instruments and 5 buddies who can't do shit and all make money together by wearing masks and pretending we're in a Haunted House. :tickled: Iowa is very heavy album. Not as good though as other 2, but very heavy.

I am going to the Cleveland show on March 9th, on the floor. Should be fun.

I have seen Slipknot 8 times and every time their sound was shit. I like some of their albums though. My point?
Great studio band
Terrible live

Your sig line is hilarious.

Your comments remind me of Korn. When their first album came out and they were not on the radio yet, I liked their first album. BUt then I saw them live, opening for Megadeth and I thought they were AWFUL. Turned me off to Korn big-time. I've heard they sound better now but i don't care to find out.

Your avatar rules!!! I've seen the mighty KISS 24 times (I think, I'd have to count ticket stubs.)
Yeah, I'm hoping Slipknot have a killer show as they are now bona fide arena headliners. I've seen them at clubs, and at Ozzfests, so I'm really excited about a big production. If anything, it's a chance to hook up with my buds, go eat at Ted Turners Bison Restaurant at C-Bus, sip on StarBucks, and watch shit blow up. :worship: :headbang:
Funny note, same arena, later that week. Elton John. I'm going to both. :err:

I have had the pleasure, errm, DISpleasure of seeing Slipknot three times. What I will never have respect for is too many guys on stage, most of whom are banging garbage cans. No logic in that. You mentioned pyro...the other good thing is that I get great joy out of people watching, especially at shows. That alone can entertain me during the hell that will be the Slipknot performance. Leave early you say? I would, if it weren't for the fact that one of the guys in our group is a Slipknot fan. Gah the things I go through...:D
